Carpet tiles are a fun alternative to carpet that most people may not think about, and provide a lot of options that may be more suitable than a roll carpet. Our carpet tiles are typically a commercial glue down product, although we occasionally do have specials. We have a variety of patterns and colors to fit whatever vibe you are trying to achieve with your project. You can create a rug, section off offices, or do wall to wall installation, no matter what the project we have endless options to suit you!
WHAT ARE CARPET TILES FOR?
Carpet tiles can be used for a variety of different options, you can place them to create a fun long lasting rug, a play room for the kids, or just a quick and easy flooring for your room. Larger jobs require glue down, and smaller ones may allow for tape, but no matter the job it’s an easy install. Over the years carpet tile has typically been used for commercial properties, but as homes modernize, carpet tiles move into more and more homes. Then again why do carpet tiles at all?
CARPET TILE PROS AND CONS
PROS:
Easy to Install: Carpet tile is DIY friendly! It only takes a few hours to install. All it requires is some glue to install it, and the carpet tile itself. Glue can be bought in buckets for bigger jobs or obtained in a spray form for smaller jobs. Sometimes in lower traffic areas on certain subfloors the tiles can even be installed without glueing them down at all! The only tool you may need is a knife so you can cut-to-fit.
Custom Looks: Carpet tile comes in many different patterns, textures and colors, and allows for an endless amount of creativity. It gives you many combinations to choose from, and gives you the best option to customize your project. The endless designs even allow you to create a unique rug for your home.
Easy to Replace: We all have accidents, like a toddler spilling their milk everywhere. There is no need to fret though, you can simply pull up the stained tile, and replace it with a brand new one. Simple, easy and worry free!
Waste Less: Woven broadloom carpet is sold in short rolls or large rolls, and almost always need to be cut to fit. Which leaves the rest to go to waste, but with carpet tile you may only need a certain quantity, and there will not be anything left to sit in the garage.
Cost: Carpet tile is cost efficient! It is much cheaper per tile than ordering a square yard of carpet you might pay double for compared to carpet tile.
CONS:
Comfort: The only downside of carpet tile is that it is not as plush to walk on compared to a roll of carpet. It is a little bit more stiff, and not as thick as a traditional broadloom roll of carpet. This is what makes it perfect for high traffic commercial areas and less popular for residential rooms like living rooms or bedrooms.
